Quand les femmes s'en mêlent...
The 20th century was the century in which women made their most remarkable breakthrough into the public realm and in the conquest of their rights in the private sphere. To grasp the far-reaching changes that marked this past half-century, this film considers the breaches that took place between generations of women. Those who received the right to vote in 1944 bore the children of the baby boom. Those who fought for contraception, abortion, permissive education, proclaimed their refusal of the values their mothers had respected. Those who then demanded a baby at any cost took the opposite tack of the previous struggles. This film charts the field of the intimate and the social.
