One Bullet Left
After their film, Passengers, director Markus Fisher and Richard Sherlock, director of the Basel Ballet, are reunited for a new dance drama, One Bullet Left. It is a film noir-like story of a trumpet-player named Barney who has just been released from prison and returns to his home town. Here, he runs into old friends, old enemies and Justine, the woman of his life, who is now hustling for a pimp named Baxter. The expressionist staging, with music by Peter Scherer (who has worked for Laurie Anderson, Lou Reed and Ute Lemper) gives this major show a special complexity.
