Mon père, son flamenco, et moiMy Father, his Flamenco, and I
After 11 years of separation and silence, Michael Morgan returned to northern California where he was raised, expecting to again see the heroic image of a singer-guitarist father who sang folk songs, old ballads and flamenco. To his amazement, he discovered a man who, at 67, came to fulfill the dream of his youth. Robin had become a dancer. Michael is taken on a voyage where he can witness the art of "flamenco" living of his father and his community. In Seville, during a meeting with the Andalusian maestro José Galvan, a friend of his father's, he can appreciate the creative complicity between the two artists. But to fully assimilate with his father's new image, he has to go further: present this "new family" of American and Spanish artists to the Parisian audiences of the Planète Andalucia. This moving new show teaches him to accept this "new father".
