Over 50% of the people in Argentine live below the poverty line and unemployment is still increasing. Until recently, the daily television show Recursos Humanos tried to alleviate the Argentine misery. In the show, two candidates compete over a job. The public at home decides, by call voting, who deserves the job the most. Andrea, a researcher of the show, tells us how she selects her candidates. The show Recursos Humanos was taken off the air after seven months; it did not seem profitable enough for advertisers to invest money in a television show for the unemployed.
