Mand mod hestMan against Horse
Jaime is an elderly gentleman living a quiet life in the village of Sabucedo in Galicia - in the uppermost nort-western corner of Spain. Jaime has one passion: the wild horses living in the mountains above the village. One day every year is dedicated to the most important event in his life - the "Rapa das bestas". The annual Spanish version of a Texas rodeo. Early in the morning most of the villagers take to the mountains - on horseback and on foot - and drive the wild horses together. Upwards of 400 horses are driven to the arena in the middle of the town. Jaime is too old to participate now. He can only dream about the time when he was one of the leaders of the pack of young riders - the "aloitadores" - who chased the horses into town and subdued strong horses with their bare hands just to trim their tails and manes. Jaime's dreams are in the mountains - in the person of the young and strong Roi.
