Looking Glass

Portrait of the composer Philip Glass. This intimate documentary follows the hectic schedule of this exceptional artist during the first seven months of 2003. From New York to London, from Paris to Boston, Eric Darmon’s camera records his every activity, his encounters, his many collaborations. Exuberant activity and inexhaustible energy characterize the life of this great 67-year-old composer. Throughout the film, Glass looks back on his early years and career and demonstrates his ability to move from concert to opera, from stage to screen, with such disconcerting ease.
