Le Quattro Stagioni nelle ville venete
The project foresees the performance of the four concerts of the Seasons by Vivaldi by the Venetian Soloists, directed by Claudio Scimone, in different Venetian Villas. The four concerts by Antonio Vivaldi, known as The Seasons, are still today one of the most popular works of the repertoire of ‘grand music’ and represent one of the greatest achievements of the human spirit. They are the work of a composer, and violinist at the apogee of his career that reflect the simplicity and spontaneity of the Venetian spirit even when it expresses magnificent atmospheres or dramatic events. The Seasons, performed by the Venetian Soloists in the Venetian Villas, not only are intended as to place the masterpiece by Vivaldi in the settings in which they were born, but also to deliver to the world a document that links music to the other arts, according to the Venetian ideal of the unity of the arts.
