The story of Dzogchen Rinpoche and his incredible humanitarian action, as part of a mission for the Dalai Lama. A community of 6,000 Tibetan refugees in southern India are dying of disease and malnutrition. Dzogchen Rinpoche transforms a situation of despair into one of joy. Later, he opens up his monastery to Westerners, allowing for incredible cultural exchanges of ancient Tibetan knowledge and modern western technology. Today, Dzogchen Rinpoche struggles to keep the Tibetan culture alive. He introduces us to his country's art forms. His cultural actions prove that it is possible for millennium-old tradition to cohabitate with the modern world.
