Le Complexe de la bécasse
When he was a child, Jean-Marie Barrère "missed" his father on account of a bird. Setting out in search of his missing father, a fanatical woodcock hunter, the filmmaker tries to explain an inoffensive passion and takes an offbeat look at the world of hunters. At the village café, in the family home or in the woods, Barrère attempts to track down a secret. This is a film about childhood and lost opportunities, but nonetheless a film full of humor and verve.
