The Junction

The Gaza strip : three young men die within a few days at the Nezarim Junction. The first, Fahmi, is a young Palestinian who was born in a refugee camp near Nusseirat. The second, David, a young Israeli soldier serving in an army unit in charge of the security of a Jewish settlement. After David’s death, a third young man, El’Yad, commits suicide. The three of them died at the beginning of the second Intifada in September 2000. Who were these young people? Why did they have to die so young? Our investigation leads us to their friends and families, colleagues and acquaintances, on both sides of the border. Through their testimonies, we discover the terrible mechanism that leads Israelis and Palestinians into a violent dead end.
