Le Blues du jean
Jeans are the garment of the century, the one that left its mark on entire generations around the world as the symbol of a lifestyle. Being a universal, almost mythic product, and because, on the average, a dozen countries take part in its chain of production, they serve as the ideal intermediary to explain another transnational phenomenon: globalization. This economic road movie takes us to several continents in search of the different protagonists who makes jeans and whose daily lives depends on them: from cotton producers in Benin to exporters of Turkish pumice stones, not to mention Tunisian couturiers and Belgian designers.
