La Terre a promis au cielEarth promised sky
All conflicts have their share of dead and missing. Bosnia-Herzegovina totaled 350,000 dead and 27,731 persons arrested and reported missing. For the first time in the history of mankind, thanks to the creation of the International Criminal Court (TPI) in the Hague, a large-scale action has been launched to find the missing. In the wake of the war, the Bosnian government created a Commission. Thanks to the work of its members, the identification of bodies allowed the dead to be given a proper grave and families the possibility of mourning. Identification also serves as evidence in TPI trials for war crimes and crimes against humanity. Through the personal story of Eva, Amor and Jasna and their commitment to this Commision, this film follows the slow and painful process of the search and identification. To go beyond the horror by restoring human dignity and justice to human beings.
