Whether denouncing the disappearances attributable to the purges of the dictatorship, demanding the respect of basic rights or demonstrating to demand the prosecution of the ex-dictator, Chilean woman have been on all the forefronts. By creating solidarity organizations, they have succeeded in breaking the vicious circle of poverty, loneliness and silence. This film includes interviews with major political figures and encounters with committed women to take us behind the scenes of this new society which today aims to be a model of economic success and progress for all of Latin America. The film proposes a universal reflection on the vulnerability and strength of women in the face of military terror and a historical, political and sociological portrait of modern-day Chile. Using archival footage and testimonies, the film pinpoints the crucial role of women in modern-day Chile.
