The place: an island in the Mediterranean, off the coast of Hyères: Porquerolles. The time: six days during the summers of 2002 and 2003. The cast: musicians from all over the world: Brazil, Italy, USA, France, Morocco... Musicians united by a certain idea of jazz, another notion of music, in a very special kind of festival, a sort of musical laboratory where experiments (improvisations) in new ways of jazz are carried out. This film is the story of that adventure, as seen by a filmmaker close to musicians, himself a musician, who constantly enters into “a state of grace with chance, so that something comes to pass.” (André Breton). This is the pulsating record of those few days.
