Israelim - My Cousin the Chinaman
For over seven years Nimrod Hadani lived in China. Nimrod turned a teenage interest in martial arts and the Far East into a life changing experience; it took him to the city of Chengdu, in southwest China, where he immersed himself in the local culture and studied Chinese, Tai Chi and calligraphy. At the Chengdu University, he specialized in herbal medicine and physiotherapy. In September 2002 they married in an emotional traditional Chinese wedding ceremony, attended by Nimrod’s family from Israel. Nimrod and Bei Bei recently came to live in Haifa, Israel, where he returned to work as a doctor of Chinese medicine. The film lovingly shows Nimrod's love to the Chinese culture and its special customes, as well as portraying the difficulties of adjusting to its uniqueness.
