Il Giudice dei giusti
Moshe Bejski was saved from the Shoah by Oscar Schindler. All his life, he worked to rehabilitate the image of this man in the face of accusations that he had enriched himself by the persecution of the Jews. After the genocide, it was Bejski who stressed the importance of paying tribute to those who, by their actions during the Second World War, contributed to Good. Founder of the “Gardens of the Righteous" in Israel, Bejski found some 20,000 persons who deserved a place there. This film relates the story of those who tried to save Jews at the risk of their own lives, and the problem of their “election” to the ranks of the “Righteous.” This complex task, the work of the Yad Vashem commission, was conducted by Bejski for 30 years. His greatest query: How to define the moral criteria of Goodness?
