A delegation from the Pan-European Academic Society of Ghosts and Giants comes to the headquarters of the European Community to obtain official recognition of pagan culture and the belief in ghosts, giants, dwarves, elves and other creatures. They seek the support of the authorities as well as subsidies. Their postulate: European authorities support al kinds of religious, cultural and regional groups, so why not these beliefs, which, they claim, are wide-spread in northern Europe? The trip begins with a tour of the Belgian capital and continues with some serio-comic meetings with European representatives. They attend all kinds of events during which they randomly question people of all nationalities: some say they’ve already been contacted by spirits that, they say, have played a major role in their lives.
