Gas Station : Irlande

Gas Station takes you on a trip to different countries, reflecting local habits, political, social or religious issues in the microscopic environment of small independent gas stations. The station owners, customers and personnel provide a vivid impression of the major issues in the country they live in. The 'Ireland episode' is a portrait of an elderly man who cannot say goodbye to his small gas station. He runs it all by himself, in a remote, typically Irish, setting south of Dublin. His customers, mainly people his own age who have remained faithful to him, and his strong believe in God, keep him going. A moving portrait of a man living with his memories and his faith.
