Freedom Now! : Dirty Dozen Brass Band

For the past quarter century, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band has distilled funk tinged with jazz and Latin American sounds. This film takes the Band back to where it began: in the street. To the energetic rhythms of “Used to Love Her” and “Satisfaction”, the concert footage blends with the laughing, made-up faces of the Dunkerque carnival crowds as music and rhythm gradually merge into one.
