Frans Krajcberg, portrait d'une révolte
Through the portrait of a man and his ways, this is a film about the memory of our times. It is structured in two movements: one rooted in the biographical, the other in the commonplace. The life illuminates the work. But his work also speaks of our world. It is a question of providing access to a unique and committed work, based on an intimate relationship with nature. A work with multiple resonances for today’s world. Frans Krajcberg is filmed in his natural setting, where he lives and works. In Nova Vicosa, first, in the state of Bahia: a place he chose and fashioned in his own image. This is where he built a house perched in the trees and where he has lived for more than 30 years now. This is where he set up his workshop, in the middle of nature. This is the portrait of a man and an uncharacteristic work. A film about the memory of nature. And a film about the duties of memory.
