They come from Kosovo, Bosnia, Serbia and Macedonia. They are feminist and pacifist, young and old, blonde and dark-haired. They are all beautiful. Yesterday, they were fighting each other. Today, they travel together through their new countries. They have the cheerfulness of those who have survived fear, the imagination of those who reinvent life, the strength of pioneers. This is a female road movie about a group of rebels who travel 1800 miles along the battered roads of the Balkans. Thanks to this astonishing, disturbing voyage, we visit countries whose beauty transcends time.
