Eiskalt - Pinochets Plan Z
A few days after Chile's military coup on September 11, 1973, the leader of the junta, Augusto Pinochet, presented the secret plan Z, found in the safe of the overthrown president, Salvador Allende. According to this plan, the military putsch supposedly forestalled the left-wing coup by taking place a few days earlier and thus saved the country from civil war. Truth or a lie? German television journalist Wilfried Huismann and Chilean colleague Raúl Sohr set off to clarify the mystery surrounding plan "Z". At the end of the journey through Chile, the authors succeed in getting one of the accomplices to talk: Federico Willoughby, once Pinochet's official spokesman, makes a sensational and exclusive on-camera confession: plan "Z" was a fabrication of the military secret service, a means of "psychological warfare" to justify the coup. A shocking investigative report on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the military coup in Chile.
