A film about the nihilistically inclined Stella who works as filing clerk for Nazi sympathizing widow Lotte de Heus Verolmen, who is writing her memoirs. Thinking about the chance on a big journalistic scoop, Stella accepts the job. While working for the widow, Stella discovers that she cannot and will not make a very clear distinction between good and bad, and she becomes involved in a dark plot, which reaches its conclusion in Switzerland.
