Brass Sounds takes a close look at the world of the ancient brass bands of the Balkans through the interviews of two old Gypsy musicians from Lom, Bogdan and Momchil. The sounds of the brass bands can still be heard at weddings, funerals or at villages festivities and they form part of life of the region in the northwest of Bulgaria, where a wide community of Gypsies live. Bogdan and Momchil tell us how they started to play when they were still children, their career as musicians, their dreams, the world they have lived and how these bands are now disappearing.
