Words of Silence
In sign language, the hands speak, but not only them: there is also body language, in which the position of the body and facial expressions are forms of expression. The rendering of every word, every nuance, takes place through an image. Sign language was banned in favor of oral language. For the hard of hearing, it was an extremely long and difficult apprenticeship. But the deaf still demand recognition of sign language, a means of expression that comes naturally to them, although its use has been depreciated and its development frozen.
