Unique in the world because of its scale, H.E.L.P. Congo is an NGO that been conducting a program of reintroducing chimpanzees into their natural environment. Begun in December 1906, this program involves the reintroduction of some 50 chimpanzees, four of whom are the subject of this film: Baleko, Emilie, Tessie and Belinga. Together, our four heroes gradually discover the pleasures and pitfalls of the tropical forest. Left to their own devices in their search for food and faced for the first time with other forest creatures, these four chimpanzees provide new light on the behavior of these animals in a wild environment. How will they cope with the concrete problems so comparable to those we have to deal with?
