This is what her mother tells Aichouch when she asks if she can go see Philippe Faucon's film with her French teacher. Had Aichouch listened to her mother, I would never have met her and this project would probably never have happened. A chronicle of a band of girls in Paris' melting pot 20th arrondissement in their school, family and neighborhood lives. The film, shot between early spring and the end of the school term, depicts the desires and difficulties these girls have. A film that deals with the clash between tradition and integration, the authority of a male world and the desire to assert one's self.
