Trois sœurs
A Catholic Polish mission run by three nuns seeks to alleviate the miserable lot of the street children of Angarsk, who live year round in survival pits. Maria, Elzbieta and Michalina visit one of these holes to bring food and comfort to those who haven't the courage to go to them. The children tell of their lives: the parents' alcoholism, the domestic violence to which they prefer the streets, the company of friends with similar lives and the comforts of acetone which has developed into a habit. The three nuns welcome, comfort and feed them. As they serve soup, sing and read, we discover the human soul in all its luminosity and gloom.
