Trio
A short dance drama that combines a contemporary score and Beethoven's haunting "Trio, Opus 11". Conceived for the camera by Veronica Tennant, director-choreographer and former prima ballerina, Trio is a series of dream sequences, flashbacks and fantasies – with a trio of characters whose interactions inform their professional and personal lives. Ronda, Michel and John, professional dancers, are people, not the creatures they interpret on stage. In Trio they are actors – athletes, friends, lovers, rivals. The music track was specially recorded by the superb Rolston Trio.
