Tout l'or de la montagne noire
Just a few miles from Carcassone and the castles of the Cathars is Saisigne, France's last gold mine. It is also one of the most polluted sites in the country. The problem began at the beginning of the last century, but it was a long denied by the people whom it affected most. The fact was, the whole region lived off the mine. Today, the government has finally decided to raise money to clean up the place. The task, however, is immense. Tout l'or de la montagne noire tells the history of Saisigne and its pollution through the voices of those living in it.
