The Way Back
Schirl and Norm have been happily married for fifty years. Norm's deteriorating memory and the onset of dementia threatens to sever the bond that entwines them, changing their relationship forever. Shirl's despair deepens as she is forced to contemplate the question of "what is a person without memory ?". Norm grows increasingly fearful, as his memory fails him, terrified he may never return to know Shirl again. Unwilling to accept their apparent fate, Shirl and Norm devise a plan and enlist the help of an orderly, Chris, who works at the retirement village where they live. Shocked, but intrigued Chris agrees to help them and their plan is unleashed.
