Bucharest, 1990s. The "transition" is in full swing. The "market economy", which must change mentalities and value systems if it is to impose itself, finds a fertile ground in the Romanian mafia created after 1989 by former members of the Nomenklatura. Led by Jorj, the "chief" - he was chief for 40 years - they have all become pragmatic and unscrupulous "businessmen," despite their nostalgia for communism. But it's a question of passing on the torch at a time when the dictatorship of the dollar has replaced political totalitarianism. Inevitably, after the chief's death, the young generation takes the place of the "elders." An incursion into an abject underworld that is growing in parallel to the visible world. The real danger lies in not knowing it, not watching it, not doing anything about it.
