A worker’s fight against Venice’s chemical industry. For 40 years the indifference of Italian petrochemical officials lead to the death of the workers from on-the-job exposure to toxic chemicals. In those years, Gabriele Bortolozzo, a humble factory worker, collected evidence which brought to one of the many famous Italian court cases in recent times. Though accused of manslaughter and environmental disaster, the managers of the biggest European plant have been acquitted.
