Pierre-Laurent Aimard, l'interprète
Since childhood, Pierre-Laurent Aimard has committed himself to music with as much talent as desire to champion contemporary composers. His career has been exceptional. At 12, he was "kidnapped" by Yvonne Loriod, and spent his youth at the side of Olivier Messiaen; at 19, Pierre Boulez named him soloist for the Intercontemporain. He then worked with the great composers of our time: Ligeti, Kurtag, George Benjamin, Marco Stroppa. This film draws us into the Aimard's passion; we share his determination to decompartmentalize the world of music, and, most of all, we share his joy in music.
