New Year's Eve tells the story of Henry, drummer of the band "Fuck my Heart", and his 10 years old son, Jim. Henry divorced a few years ago and now for the first time he can see his son again in the weekends and holidays. At the same time Henry's band is about to break through playing their music for a jeans commercial. But Henry starts to drink, his health quickly deteriorates. It becomes increasingly difficult for him to function at work with the band. For some reason, Henry starts pushing away everybody, his one remaining concern is to be a good father to Jim.
