Les Paysans de Citroën
They were 20 years old in 1960 and were getting ready to work in the family farm. But these old fashioned and tired farms needed to expand or disappear. In October 1961, Citroën set up a brand new factory in Rennes and initiated a huge recruitment campaign targeting the near-by, gentle and hard-working farmers. 12,000 young farm-workers therefore left the farm and found themselves shut in a gigantic factory. Through four intermingling portrayals, each with a very different fate, the film traces the history of this transformation.
