Learn Kunqu Opera
Today, the rhythm of live has become faster and faster. In China, western culture, increasingly present, is becoming all encompassing. In this context, the classical Kunqu opera, with its unique and complex nature, is losing audiences and seems doomed to extinction. Fortunately, in Shanghai, a school continues to train Chinese students in traditional Kunqu as singers and actors. 12 and 13 years old, these children know nothing more than popular songs when they enter the school. They are immersed in the art of Kunqu. Trained by specialists, they learn the importance of passing on this cultural heritage and cultivate the dream of one day becoming the worthy heirs of Kunqu.
