In the center of Phom Penh: the Shantytown of the clouds, 240 little wooden sheds built on 4000 m2 overlooking the city, atop an old 60s building. It's a real village, with its own restaurant, hairdressing salon, grocery and market. With also bars and karaoke clubs. Life has been entirely reconstructed on this rooftop, with a little money but incredible energy. We discover some moving people, like this woman who has just given birth and survives thanks to the solidarity of her neighbors. Or this man, who has lost a leg fighting the Khmer Rouge and now supports his family driving a moto-taxi. All these people have found a haven in this shantytown of the clouds, where no one wanted to live. They've devised a new system of life, mutual aid and sharing. It's a lesson for us: grouping together for survival and action.
