La Planète perdue
Until the 50s, old and young alike crowded into neighborhood cinemas every week to follow the weekly adventures of fearless hero fighting in a world of cheap sets to save the world. After having nourished the American imagination, the serial continues to inspire the action movie, especially those by Spielberg and Lucas. It has contributed to shaping a new popular mythology by giving us the first screen adventures of such superheroes as Flash Gordon, the Masked Marvel, Superman, Batman, Nyoka, the Black Dragon, Fu Manchu, Copperhead, Dick Tracy, Spy Smasher and Zorro.
