When Beate met her husband, Serge Klarsfeld, it was the beginning of a life of love and adventure for a couple that became a living legend. They went from prisons to courtroom, from demonstrations to talk shows, from Prague to Damascus, Montevideo, New York, Bonn, Buenos Aires.... Their activities would affect the course of history and change the contents of school books. For Beate, it was a militant, passionaria's existence, but also the life of a caring woman, wife and mother. This film uses interviewed recorded in 2002 and numerous archives to relate the workings and itinerary of this almost ordinary yet wholly extraordinary family which shares the same checkbook, offices and crusades.
