Ever since the « Dutroux Affair », the courts are inundated with complaints filed against alleged pedophiles. Whereas cases of sexual abuse of minors used to be hushed up, they now make the headlines. However more and more allegations and false accusations are being brought against innocents. During the last five years in France, some 370 teachers have been accused of pedophile behaviour. 73% of the cases have been thrown out of court or dismissed for lack of evidence. A Time of Suspicion has been shot over a period of two years and tells the true story of Pascal Rémond, a teacher of the Doubs region who has been cleared by the courts after two years of devastating court procedures.
