Karib BaiidSo near yet so far
October 2000: Mohamad Al Durra died in the arms of his father in Palestine. His picture was broadcast all over the world. The death of this Palestinian child was seen by millions of people in the Arab world, and has had a special impact on Arabic children, (in Palestine, Lebanon, Jordania, Egypt) who express their anger in a very extraordinary way: some of them join demonstrations, others leave their homes and try to join the Intifada. The film followed these children, in Lebanon, Jordania and Egypt. The director, a Maronite Christian who was born and raised in Lebanon and lived through the war there, rediscovers her childhood and raises questions about her relationship with the Arab world.
