Guy Môquet, fusillé à 17 ans
The unusual story of a Parisian adolescent named Guy Môquet, a student at the Lycée Carnot and a member of the Communist Youth in his neighborhood, the Batignolles. He enlisted and went underground in June 1940. In October of that year, he was denounced by the French then used as a hostage by Vichy authorities. On October 22, 1941, he was shot by the Germans at Châteaubriand along with 26 other political prisoners. He was 17. Guy Moquet remained in prison for a year before his execution. Today, there remain some witnesses, close friends, men and woman who knew him in their youth, shared the same commitment to what was to become the Resistance. Their vision of the world and their future were guided by boundless enthusiasm and confidence.
