Galindez
On the night of March 12, 1956, a man named Jesus de Galindez disappeared in Manhattan. For some unexplained reason, the disappearance of this Spanish who had fled Franco's Spain and represented the Basque government in New York caused a uproar at the highest political echelons and in American intelligence agencies. At the request of President Hoover, the FBI launched one of the costliest investigations in its history to find out who had abducted the man who had become its most valuable political informant on Latin America. Dominican dictator Rafael Leonidas Trujillo, alarmed by the repercussions of the case, ordered all those connected with the intricate kidnapping plot be eliminated. The remaining question is: what interested parties were behind Galindez's disappearance ?
