Formules magiques
If it makes the headlines, doping is also an individual reality often painfully and shamefully experienced by athletes at all levels. Why did they take that first step one day? Why did they continue this risky path and at the expense of what lies and pain? This documentary juxtaposes images of physical perfection with faltering, distressing speech. Shot in a domestic setting, the interviews show us athletes, most great and unknown, as plain people. We don't see footage of their past exploits, only family photos reflecting their dreams of speed, precision, strength and endurance. These local and international champions test out a discipline they need training in: that of speaking out.
