It could be the story of Teresa, a woman from humble background, who, after living a devastating youthful passion, succeeds in climbing the ladder of Barcelona's high society to enjoy pride of place there. The years pass and Teresa becomes the heroine of other stories, other conflicts. She makes new encounters, comes in contact with other outlooks on life. Beyond Teresa's story, this series is also the story of the splendor and decadence of a manor located on the heights of Barcelona, where three generations grow up, love, hate, live and die. Greedy yet dutiful, a domestic silently observes it all. She loves this world as much as Teresa has loved it and she will try to save it when her mistress is no longer capable.
