After their mother's death in the Balkan war, Valentino, a young Gypsy boy, takes his little sister Daphne to Sweden. Valentino's quest for his identity and his struggle to be someone start in Sweden's second largest city of Gothenburg. The story takes us on an incredible journey through eastern Germany, Poland, Romania and Bosnia. The film features local amateur actors and actresses recruited as extras in the streets, backyards, train stations, children's homes, marketplaces and poor Gypsy villages.
