We're all familiar with French author Daniel Pennac as the best-selling author of the Malaussène saga, which has won millions of enthusiastic readers throughout Europe. Less well-known is the tormented student once was, and how he developed his attentiveness to others from his academic failures, that insatiable desire to walk the road to knowledge with others, to hold the hands of the most forlorn on the magical paths of reading.
