Cicatrices

Koffi and Baba Woulou visit a great neighboring country : the Central African Republic. As they drive along a university campus, their vehicle is stopped and requisitioned by the soldiers who are conducting a raid among the student body. The victims of repression are all of the same ethnic origin, recognizable by their facial scars. One student, Martin, is evacuated in Koffi’s taxi. Baba Woulou ends up on the roadside and catches some other soldiers trying to rape Adjua, Martin’s companion. He manages to foil their intentions but the young woman is taken away. To protect her, the fetish-priest draws facial marks on his face and is immediately arrested and taken away with Adjua. Baba Woulou succeeds in saving Ajdua, but Koffi is powerless to prevent Martin from being murdered.
