Amnésie : la vie au présent
20-year-old Jeremy notes down everything that he has to do. Since his scooter accident a year and a half earlier, he has forgotten names, faces, places and appointments. Each morning, 34-year-old Loris takes more than three hours to wash up: he cannot remember how much time he spends in the shower or in the front of the mirror. He shaves and brushes his teeth, over and over again. His memory span doesn't exceed two minutes. Forgetting in just a few seconds what has been said, being unable to built up memories--this can happen to anyone, at any age. A simple accident is enough, a cerebral hemorrhage in a store or in an office, and a whole life is destroyed. Medicine cannot repair these lesions yet. Amnesia is an invisible handicap, which wears the mind down and condemns one to live in the immediate present.
